How's the weather where you live? While we have been enjoying a mild November so far, the forecast for next week is promising a reminder that winter is coming. So there is no better time to whip up my newest pattern, Finley & Quinn!
Sometimes called a bath robe, a dressing gown, or (for those of us in Canada) a housecoat, this robe is all about comfort. Perfect for boys or girls as well as any climate, it works well in a wide variety of fabrics from fleece to flannel, minky to terry, cuddle plush to cotton!
I haven't even told you the BEST thing about this pattern yet... but before I do, let's just go over some of the design details. Finley & Quinn is a loose-fitting robe meant to be worn over pajamas or lounge wear. The design falls to the knee, but adding length is super easy if you'd like it a bit longer. My favorite thing about this design is the collar and how it wraps around the front edge (which makes it perfect for making the inner collar with a super plush fabric!), but I also really love all the little details like the angled pockets at the sides & having loops for the belt and for hanging the robe.
Thank you so much for stopping by my little corner of the digital world. When I'm not designing (or, more likely, attempting to keep up with housework or schooling my three rug rats!) you'll probably find me with my nose in a book, escaping for a few precious moments into a world of fiction or learning with single-minded focus about my latest interest. Here, I'd like to share with you some of the things that I'm currently working on and a bit about all the ways I like to keep my creative juices flowing!
Just for Fun...
