How's the weather where you live? While we have been enjoying a mild November so far, the forecast for next week is promising a reminder that winter is coming. So there is no better time to whip up my newest pattern, Finley & Quinn!
Sometimes called a bath robe, a dressing gown, or (for those of us in Canada) a housecoat, this robe is all about comfort. Perfect for boys or girls as well as any climate, it works well in a wide variety of fabrics from fleece to flannel, minky to terry, cuddle plush to cotton!
I haven't even told you the BEST thing about this pattern yet... but before I do, let's just go over some of the design details. Finley & Quinn is a loose-fitting robe meant to be worn over pajamas or lounge wear. The design falls to the knee, but adding length is super easy if you'd like it a bit longer. My favorite thing about this design is the collar and how it wraps around the front edge (which makes it perfect for making the inner collar with a super plush fabric!), but I also really love all the little details like the angled pockets at the sides & having loops for the belt and for hanging the robe.
My family wears their housecoats pretty much every day, and my kids are thrilled to each have their own in a fabric that they really love.
Which brings me to my surprise for you...
I'm offering this pattern to members of my Sewing Circle on Facebook for FREE. Yes, you read that right! This pattern is my gift to you this holiday 2016 season, and from now until the end of the year, I will have a code available in my group so that you can add this pattern to your collection at no cost. This pattern has been through the same intensive testing and the size range includes 12-18mo through size 10, as with all of my other patterns. It's just a way of saying THANK YOU to everyone who has supported Pollywoggles this year, and to those that have never tried one of my patterns the chance to really see what they are made of!
Plus, I would love to see a whole bunch of Finley & Quinn robes sewn up as Christmas presents, so I hope this inspires even more gift giving!
To really showcase this new pattern, I am excited to announce that tomorrow will kick off a Blog Tour, featuring some of the different Finley & Quinn robes that have been made leading up to this release!
Here is a round-up of who and where these posts will be happening this week, and I am so excited for them to be sharing their own version of this pattern with you!
A HUGE thank you to each of these lovely ladies and to all of their readers as well!
I hope you all love what you see of Finley & Quinn and with the inspiration you see over the days to come that you will head right on over to Pollywoggles Sewing Circle to snatch up your code for your very own copy of Finley & Quinn!
Thank you so much for stopping by my little corner of the digital world. When I'm not designing (or, more likely, attempting to keep up with housework or schooling my three rug rats!) you'll probably find me with my nose in a book, escaping for a few precious moments into a world of fiction or learning with single-minded focus about my latest interest. Here, I'd like to share with you some of the things that I'm currently working on and a bit about all the ways I like to keep my creative juices flowing!
Just for Fun...
