The first pattern update of 2019 has been released, and it's with perfect timing for those of us in the North who were hit over the weekend by a snowy winter storm. Designed specifically for fleece, this pattern is another cozy addition for your Pollywoggles Collection!
Originally released back in 2015 as Drew & Jesse, I am excited for this pattern to get some fresh love with the new name, Banff. Fleece is one of my favorite fabrics to work with, and this pattern is a fast sew that comes together easily. The shirt is a raglan style with a crossover mock neck, and the pants are relaxed for ease of movement and comfort. With this update, the size range has been extended to include size 12, and I've used some of my favorite paper-saving tricks to improve the pattern pieces. One of my goals with every pattern is making the pattern assembly step as minimally time-consuming as possible, and I think you're going to like what you see with this one!
The new update also now includes an optional collar pattern piece in addition to the cutting chart, so you can choose whether you want to print it or cut by measurements. There is also an A0 large format file included with your purchase for those who prefer to work from a print shop copy.
Oh... and I nearly forgot... this pattern also has an 18" doll version!
And don't forget to join the Group on Facebook to watch for upcoming release announcements!
My kids loved wearing their "fuzzy jammies" throughout the winter when I first designed this pattern, and as they've grown I've continued making them a couple new pairs every year. My oldest doesn't wear his as pajamas any more, but they are one of his favorite shirts to wear when the weather turns wintery! These were our go-to pajamas for camping too, as they were cozy around the fire and kept out the damp during those spring and autumn nights.
This time of year is usually a great time to pick up fleece fabric on sale, and if you are wondering if what your fabric store sells is the right kind for this project, be sure to check out my Sewing with Fleece series for more about the different kinds of "fleece" out there, in What is Fleece, and how to determine if what you have is the 'right stuff' using The Stretch Test.
With 2019 rolling along, I've already started working on the NEXT pattern update to be released, so keep watching for more to come from Pollywoggles!
EVERYONE who has purchased any of the updated patterns in the past, or buys between now and when an updated is released, will get the update for no additional cost!
All those who already own Drew & Jesse have already been sent an email with the update. If you have not gotten it, please check your email spam/junk folder, and if it isn't there then contact me and I will make sure that you get it.
Thank you so much for stopping by my little corner of the digital world. When I'm not designing (or, more likely, attempting to keep up with housework or schooling my three rug rats!) you'll probably find me with my nose in a book, escaping for a few precious moments into a world of fiction or learning with single-minded focus about my latest interest. Here, I'd like to share with you some of the things that I'm currently working on and a bit about all the ways I like to keep my creative juices flowing!
Just for Fun...
