Behind the Name...
Cape Breton is a large island making up the eastern end of the Canadian
province of Nova Scotia. It is a land of exceptional beauty in the rugged
shoreline and towering green hills. It is also a place of rich Aboriginal, Gaelic, and Acadian heritage. Quaint traditional fishing villages dot the coastline, which can be explored by the Cabot Trail, a scenic highway that hugs the coastline in a loop around a significant part of the island.
